Principle One: Explore the biochemistry of melanin, then correspond to elements within the mineral kingdom.As stated in Part One, the key biocrystalline molecule present in the human body is melanin. Melanin is a:-A Super-conductor of the high frequency radiation and neural transmissions.-A semiconductor of sound and heat energy.-A Conductor of the body's ionic charge-A resonator of visible lightMelanin means 'Black amino' and is a color pigment composed of a hydrocarbon chain which has various amino (nitrogen-based) compounds attached to it. It is carbon that gives melanin its Blackness. Carbon is the organizing molecule that gives melanin its structure. It is carbon that gives melanin the ability to absorb energy and bind with other molecules while retaining stability and coherence.Beyond carbon, there are two other elements that are important to the structure of melanin: copper and sulfur.Copper is incorporated into the melanin molecule through the amino acid tyrosine. Tyronsinase is an organometallic amino compound that is organized around carbon, nitrogen, and copper. This amino acid is:the catalyst for melanin reproduction, andthe amino compound that facilitates melanin’s ability to conduct many Electro-magnetic frequencies.Sulfur is incorporated into the melanin molecule through the amino compound cysteine. Cysteine is an amino compound that is organized around sulfur, nitrogen, and carbon. This amino acid facilitates melanin’s heat and energy transference. In other words, it allows melanin to create or release heat as is needed for the body. cysteine also cleanses and purifies melanin by ‘burning off’ toxic elements that have been absorbed within melanin.The biochemistry of melanin indicates that there are at least three important elements necessary for maintenance of healthy melanin – Carbon, Copper, and Sulfur. Stones that contain these elements may be used as tools for harmonizing and refining how these elements are incorporated and maintained within melanin.The harmonizing is possible because stones that contain carbon, copper, or sulfur are in resonant affinity with melanin. Resonant affinity means ‘like vibration’. When things are in resonant affinity, it means that they share the same frequencies and are joined in a unified energy field. GOT MELANIN ANYONE?

It is a sad and unfortunate fact that many people of Afrikan descent need to be reminded of black history month, once a year, in order for them to grasp at a few straws of self-awareness. The minds of these victims are too busy trying to emulate European behavior and “civilization” to initiate a serious exploration and “inploration” into their true essence. This goes to many extremes and is something that affects our situation negatively as well as “niggatively". I am often dismayed but no longer surprised at the amount of my brothers and sisters who lack knowledge of self to the extent that, they are not aware of what melanin is. This fundamental determinant which makes us who we are as a people has not been taught to them and they have not taken the initiative to find out about it.
To start at the beginning: Melanin is a Greek name (from melanos) which denotes the color black. It is true however that before the Greeks appropriated Afrikan civilization and science, in KMT or Egypt (which is a Greek misguided name) the ancient black Egyptian (Metu Nefer) word that had the blackest connotation was KMT and they named themselves by it (kamau). On a psychological level, the study of melanin is a key to unlock mental slavery of black people. Melanin is the fundamental unit of the universe and can exist in four forms including Cosmic Melanin, Planetary Melanin, Plant Kingdom Melanin (chlorophyll) and Animal Kingdom melanin (black pigmentation). The latter is the appropriate field of study for Afrikans.
In humans, tyrosine, an amino acid, is the main nutrient. Tyrosine is a precursor of melanin and lays the foundation for melanin to be produced. The body must contain an enzyme known as tyrosinase and copper to be able to use tyrosine to create melanin. In humans there are three types of melanin. The first being Eumelanin which has a high electric charge, high molecular weight and density and gives rise to colors from dark brown to blue black. A less dense form of melanin with lower molecular weight is known as pheo-melanin or pseudo-melanin. It has been established that those with no melanin have quite a few more cancers and genetic disorders than those with pheo-melanin. It is also true that people with pheo-melanin have also quite a few more cancerous developments than those with Eumelanin.
The organ of the human body with the largest surface area is, of course, the skin. Many people are aware that the deep concentration of melanin in African peoples skin makes them black and enables them to use the rays of the sun more effectively than our less “melanated” counterparts, but what few know is that melanin is not only present in our skin but it permeates our whole physical being. It is contained in a small battery cell called a Melanosome. The degree of blackness in various organs in Afrikan people depends on the type of melanin contained and its weight.
Melanin is present in each organ and regulates the workings of our brain. Within the human brain stem are 12 centers of black melanin. On the earth, only humans have deep pigmentation of all twelve-brain centers. The brain center with the deepest pigmentation is the Locus Coeruleus or Black Dot. The Locus Coeruleus supplies the pineal gland with norepinephrine. The pineal gland controls the flow of melatonin during the night hours to activate R.E.M sleep which allows us to communicate with internal memory pools or other dimensions of life in nature. Melanin also causes seratonin to flow more effectively in the waking state so to “inspirience” more spirituality. This also helps to keep spiritual intunement at an apex. The less melanin in an individual, the more calcified the pineal gland and less access the individual has to the spiritual world.
Melanin exists also as biopigment for vision in the eyes of humans and all vertebrates. Color vision is produced in the retina by melanin through photopigments. These allow deeper melanin concentrations, offer protection from the sun as well as a fuller vision of the color spectrum. The melanin content in the inner ear also is of great importance. Through this ear pigmentation, it was found that increased melanin increases hearing frequencies. Melanin is also used to make the Black Dot more in touch with the universe. This Black Dot (Third Eye) was seen by our Kemetic ancestors as the access point to inner wisdom and divinity. This was the invisible door to the pyramid which when activated would decipher the mysteries.
Melanin in its most concentrated form is black. It is black because its chemical structure will not allow any energy to escape once that energy has come in contact with it. This gives us an insight and shows that melanin dominant people do not require the same amount of minerals and nutrients in their diet as people with less melanin.
Melanin absorbs light rays and stores them so that they can be used as energy later on. This is why Melanin dominant people are able to use sunlight more effectively. A perfect example of melanin’s use is related to Vitamin D. Vitamin D can be found in the skin of melanin dominant individuals after sun exposure, whereas less “melanated” people require the intake of dairy products to secrete vitamin D. It is important for people with high melanin content not to indulge in dairy products because after the age of 5, 80% of highly melanated people are lactose intolerant. For our people, eating diary leads to blockage diseases in the body. So instead of asking your brothers and sisters if they “Got milk?” you need to ask them the question, “Got Melanin?” This is just one example and also a brief look at the pervasive manifestations of melanin and its uses. It is a fact that we have ceased to know about our melanin and ceased to use it accordingly. The key to our liberation is the reactivation of our melanin faculties.
The author of this article intends for everyone who reads it to research melanin and hence research their true self. It is important for us to know some basic fundamentals on the energy governing our life. TRUE LOVE IS WHAT YOU RISE FOR AS OPPOSED TO FALLING IN.
It is so amazing that in this age of "enlightenment", a phenomenon 'love' upon which so much depends, still cannot be defined. Something upon which so much depends I insist has to be knowable i.e it must have constituttive elements assuming a certain form rendering it identifiable - a disposition - that which is observable - that which can neither be hidden nor denied.
What the notion of "falling in love" really postulates to me is 'acting on the desire' caused by instictive attraction to what is seen, touched, smelled, heard or tasted, pressuposing the object of attraction to be 'the right thing' informed by pre-determined definition of what is right, which could be true or false. By this, one is tempted to conclude that understanding 'love' is tied to what may be truthfully defined as right. No one expects their lover to deliberately do them wrong. What if the "loved one"'s perception of 'right' is the direct antithesis of the "lover"'s.
Given the above, in my attempt to seize the power to define, love can be understood to be an act consisting in doing what is right to and for one another. So, love is the action, bonding is the emotion. I think love is not that which one "is fallin in" but rather, with the right knowledge of it, that for which one has to rise.

DOES GREAT THINKING SURMISE RIGHT THINKING?
A friend of mine came across a quote by Keats:
"At once it struck me what quality went to form a man of achievement, especially in literature, and which Shakespeare possessed so enormously-I mean negative capability, that is, when a man is capable of being in uncertainties, mysteries, doubts, without any irritable reaching after fact and reason - Coleridge, for instance, would let go by a fine isolated verisimilitude caught from the penetralium of mystery, from being incapable of remaining content with half knowledge." Having given it a thought, he told me how interesting the quote is in that he finds the distinguishing feature of great thinkers to be their ability to paradoxically swing between relentless pursuit of truth and childlike acceptance that not everything can be resolved.
I acquiesced to his analysis on the outset with a strong exception that great thinking does not surmise right thinking. The problem is, thinking great without the right knowledge of the object of the thought itself can only produce from the mind a sterile philosophical discourse.
An acceptance by "great thinkers" that not everything can be resolved is invalid, for its premiss is based on a faulty assumption. Principles cannot be drawn from personal intellectual and experiencial limitatitons. The mere fact that "great thinkers" cannot resolve everything does not mean there are no less thinkers who may get everything right. People like to air out their opinions more than telling what they know. They shy away from their self-imposed limitations and hide behind sophistry and intellectual arrogance.
The right knowledge of reality of and about everything is the necessary ingredient for us to get everything right.

INTERROGATING “MR INNOCENT”: CALLING OUR KNOWLEDGE BASE AND CONTENT TO QUESTION.

First giving all honour and praise to the God of our fathers, for He has surely remembered the covenant he made with our forefathers, I greet you in PEACE!
To the Principal of the school, honourable members of the School Governing Body (SGB), honourable members of the academia; I am eternally thankful to you for adopting and giving us Boipelo Centre for Regenerative Knowledge (BCRK) this blessed opportunity to share the truthful meditations of our hearts, I greet you in PEACE!
To our honourable guests from the Department of Education, may it be credited to your account that you’ve come out selfless, genuine and truly dedicated in answering to our call by taking time out of your most probably tight schedule beyond the scope and parameters of your work, I greet you in PEACE!
The subject the thumbnail sketch of which I have been requested to present to you all on this occasion pertains to the very kingpin in the name of the organization Boipelo Center for Regenerative Knowledge, understanding what we mean by Regenerative Knowledge.
The Concept of Regenerative Knowledge
With higher rates of illicit drug use, alcoholic consumption, criminal convictions, domestic violence, disrespect to the elderly, unwed motherhood (disintegration of the family) and so forth, our society has undoubtedly shown itself to be the most vulnerable and degenerate. Maybe we need to check the parameters of our security. What forms that? It is the leadership – parents, teachers (both secular and religious), Boards of media, political leadership etc. Perhaps critical and central to our inquiry/investigation should be calling into question the very knowledge base and content upon and by which this leadership is founded and constituted. It stands to reason that if the people are being led by someone or some authority, then where they are today is where they have been led to by that someone or authority ferried through the knowledge vehicle . If all our actions are the end results of the application of some knowledge, this should suffice an analysis in the illustration of the power of knowledge.
In the context of Education, educating/facilitating, learning and schooling are apparently key processes involved in the dissemination and assimilation of an already produced knowledge. One may ask: Is the imparted knowledge inspiring to learners so as to make our learning institutions attractive and give them warmth and power? Is this knowledge capable of giving sanctity to the human and social goals; and make man accountable?
Considering a largely significant number of our children who, after they graduate, become so aloof of their immediate surroundings, their own people and own selves, one has to conclude that the type of education our people receive, whether from the classroom or other forms of media, does not either give meaning to life or that it fails to enable the recipient to have a reality relationship with his/her environment. The knowledge that is being produced seems to be having to its applicant a de-sensitizing effect witnessed in the inability of our people to conceive and tap into life-enhancing and sustaining elements of the universe. With the diminishing of the spirit of Ubuntu (righteousness) individuals in our society have become so body-centric (materialistic) and have learnt to gauge life only in terms of the intake of oxygen and success in terms of massive buildings, flamboyant cars, mansions and access to what they call advanced technology but very poor at heart- More material acquisitions; less soul. What direction does an African teacher give to African learner who is exposed to adrenalin pumping mind candy magazines, novels, television programs having a de-intellectualizing effect and other seemingly innocent hedonistic social activities and programs purported to keep our children off the street?
Any conscientious and honest Black educator will painstakingly bear witness that the kind of education for which he/she is the instrument, due to its imprecision and ambiguity and devoid of sense of right and wrong, does not allow a black child to acknowledge truthfully the things he/she is observing. No Black educator can proudly declare the goals of this type of education to be sacred if it is not inherent in its knowledge base to create children with a sense of adoration and sacrifice to its principles.
It is my assertion that any knowledge the application of which miserably fails to create a harmonious social ecology of people is degenerative; any knowledge that prevents the diligent pursuit of Truth which unites and activates all of the other relative elements of life that will lead to a new state of mind and a new social order and arrangement is degenerative.
Transformation is a trite and mostly deliberated upon concept in institutions of ‘higher’ education within the domain of what is called student politics along with so-called progressive academics. To these naïve Black student activists and so-called progressive academics, transformation is only to be dissected within the context of mere access to and exit from these institutions. Their transformation agenda only entails fighting against academic and financial exclusions, fee increment etc. They have gullibly taken education given to them as innocent. The content of the curriculum is never questioned. The level of critique, if any, does not penetrate the higher regions of the definer’s intellectual sphere.
The genius that has produced all the knowledge is never deciphered. Our children, friends, brothers, sisters and ourselves included have studied/are studying in institutions that do not, in terms of knowledge production and curriculum, encapsulate the African essence in respective areas of academic pursuits. With the Eurocentric curriculum, what is taught radiates and responds to the promptings and yearnings of Europe and turns a naïve and unsuspecting Black child into an agent of that response.
Do we even have words in our languages which translate to the English word ‘education’? If we don’t, then even the idea of education does not capture the African essence of teaching, learning and schooling. ‘Thuto’ does not translate into education, this is to maginalise African conceptology for if the English equivalent of a word in my mother tongue differs from it conceptually, and I embrace the latter then I speak with my tongue cut off, I am a zombie.
Our forefathers understood that during the process of training a student, inevitably becomes “dedicated” to safeguarding that which he has been “trained” in. The idea of “education” was not an African concept hence there’s seemingly no African word which directly translates to education. Exploring the African concept for teaching; learning; schooling, etc, the word “dedication”, I concede, would be the closest in understanding the concept adequately enough.
For example; when the student is trained/ of love he will be dedicated to safe-
guard the idea of love. It stands to reason, that the destruction of our moral fiber as a nation came about as a result of a direct application of knowledge/idea in which the agents of destruction were trained and are dedicated to safeguard.
It is against this background that we, Boipelo Centre for Regenerative Knowledge (BCRK), Recognising the grave necessity for Collective work and responsibility in response to the dysfunctionality of our society, have collective mindedly conceived the new philosophical outlook we coin REGENERATIVE KNOWLEDGE by which we seek to establish a Power base in our society to develop complete constructive change amongst our people and to restore our Pride and Dignity as a People.
The idea of Regenerative Knowledge bears testimony to our resurrection as it frames our minds with the understanding that, looking at the state of the world today, something must be wrong with the knowledge base and content after which the human society is being shaped, and that there is definitely a dire need for new knowledge production that can reverse plagues that had befallen humanity, and fashion us in the image and likeness of all the life enhancing and sustaining universal elements and forces. This idea, internalized, properly incubated in our minds and wisely set in motion, will be of utmost significance to our elevation and the re-sensitization to TRUTH and life itself.
Ladies and gentlemen it is our eternal prayer that you do not see this work as either some sterile philosophical discourse or a pool of intellectual gymnasts. There’s a lot at stake here, our people are facing extinction. It is only our conscientious involvement and commitment to this mammoth task and the escalation of our yearning levels for change that will set us in a tireless and selfless mode of fighting.
May we forever be guided in this way when employing and imploring our skills in this war of words, ideas, concepts and thoughts above which the truth has to take precedence and be made manifest. It is right thoughts coupled with energy that can produce tangible salvation for us and our people.
As we continue to reflect on our walk since the beginning of our quest for TRUTH, we find the mind to be the battle field of the spiritual warfare (a war we have come to understand is simply a war of words, ideas, concepts, ideologies and world views) and perhaps a construction of man's inclinations with seeking to understand his origin, nature, purpose and destiny.
Those having control over the minds of others do not have to worry about the latter's actions as all substance is simply the manifestation of a thought. There can never be any more evil than causing the naive and unsuspecting masses to accept as true and valid that which is false and invalid and make them confidently affirm to it. This has evoked in me a sense of calling everything to question. Seeking Truth (right knowledge of reality) is the beginning of our quest. Nothing will be immune to interrogation, our current "beliefs and practices" included, if one is to find truth in its absoluteness and purity (untainted with men's traditions, be they political, legal, social, philosophical, theological etc.).
We are never complaisant with the status quo in relation to the state of the world, are you? We've never abdicated the fighting spirit, have you?
You may have had thoughts like "why do bother?" "Whose hero do you want to be?" "There is nothing you can do to change the world". This is being self-defeatist. People often give up on their pursuits not because of some external supervening impossibility but because of a low sense (or lack of) of self-worth and self-esteem or perhaps as a result of having been emasculated to a point of seeing themselves as too delicate or fragile to stomach the punches that come with change. Change is good only if it's for the better but effecting it only the courageous can take pains of transition.

The subject the thumbnail sketch of which I have been requested to present to you all on this occasion pertains to the very kingpin in the name of the organization Boipelo Center for Regenerative Knowledge, understanding what we mean by Regenerative Knowledge.
The Concept of Regenerative Knowledge
With higher rates of illicit drug use, alcoholic consumption, criminal convictions, domestic violence, disrespect to the elderly, unwed motherhood (disintegration of the family) and so forth, our society has undoubtedly shown itself to be the most vulnerable and degenerate. Maybe we need to check the parameters of our security. What forms that? It is the leadership – parents, teachers (both secular and religious), Boards of media, political leadership etc. Perhaps critical and central to our inquiry/investigation should be calling into question the very knowledge base and content upon and by which this leadership is founded and constituted. It stands to reason that if the people are being led by someone or some authority, then where they are today is where they have been led to by that someone or authority ferried through the knowledge vehicle . If all our actions are the end results of the application of some knowledge, this should suffice an analysis in the illustration of the power of knowledge.

POLITICS OR POLI-TRICKS ? The Miscarriage of the Revolution and the Mis-Education of an African.
With the advent of the proclamations of “freedoms” in the 1960s and 1990s, history bears witness, the ‘freedomania’ evoked in our people by politicians, could not be measured up to by the subsequent harsh and disgruntling realities that followed.

Black Betrayal is when a black fat cat tries to intellectualize our suffering;

A government of Black people by Black people for white people

In 1994 it was proclaimed in South Africa that Black people were free. Hype was created that kindled the ‘freedomania’ in our people. When their supposed government could not measure up to the hype, a famous retort and a cliché “Our democracy is still young”, was conceived. There was a meticulous interchangeable usage of the terms ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’. Notably, the post -1994 era could not be called the freedom dispensation. Instead, “Democratic dispensation” or “Constitutional dispensation” was the terminology. Could this have been an innocent words variation or a crafty language invented within political and legal fraternities to simply bury the pain of our people under jargon? Although South Africa annually celebrates Freedom Day on April 27, freedom dispensation has not yet been ushered into.
Surely, ‘Freedom Day’ did not mark the beginning of the freedom dispensation. If democracy does not spell freedom, and an impression has been created that it does, one actually lives in a hypocritical dispensation. The famous retort from the ‘powers that be’ that says “Our democracy is still young”, leaves much to be desired as one wonders how the so-called young democracy which does not suffice to redeem a wretched Black soul has been paying so much great dividends to politicians. How do they get fat paychecks out of it? Isn’t this a rather strange or abusive way of nursing, nurturing and bring up the ‘baby democracy’?
Why does this democracy seem to be flourishing and thriving in a climate where poverty is necessary for the gluttons to recline on the table? You only free to step on everybody in order to get what you want- greed and evil ambition are organizing forces. A social system that has been engineered is the one feeding on degeneracy- destruction of people’s moral fiber and distortion of their spiritual make up. As a result, you have a society that is apathetic to its problems. There is not a communal sense of collective responsibility, so, a concerted effort is not made to try and address these problems.

The black society remains vulnerable and completely permeable such that all forms of negative and destructive energies, be they emotional, be they psychological, be they political, be they cultural, be they mental, for the simple reason that the security has been breached. We have been watching helplessly the disintegration of our society and have never had a fleeting thought as to who allows all these vices that destroy the moral fiber and the spiritual composition of our people.
It has only become so hypocritical, if not naïve and myopic, of this society to gauge its success in terms of political representation, massive buildings, cars, more houses and easy access to technology but very poor at heart. The Black society has become so individualistic, individuals are lovers of money and of themselves and they have learnt not to feel and relate to a fellow man.
Whatever means, as a people we may think we have to bring about meaningful changes to our lives in order to create a new social order; we must remember and keep it foremost in our minds that every substance is material advent of a pre-conceived thought. The transformation must begin with the mind.

No wonder the type of education our youth receives makes them so aloof of their immediate surroundings, their own realities, own people and own selves. They are Africans studying in institutions that do not, through curricula and syllabi, encapsulate the African essence in respective areas of academic persuasions. With the Eurocentric curriculum, what is taught radiates and responds to the promptings and yearnings of Europe and turns a naïve and unsuspecting Black child into an agent of that response.
Clearly, norms, ideas, values, principles and beliefs are the basis of every school of thought, be it political, be it moral, be it economic, be it social, be it cultural. All these different intellectual spheres are a frame of reference in the conceptualization, formulation, establishment and implementation of sciences. Educational institutions form a bridge between conceptualization and implementation processes. It becomes vivid that a true transformation can only be brought about with the eradication of an old mind whence from new definitions and depictions will provide a new intellectual framework based on new ideas and principles for the new social order and arrangement. However, this is not an easy task, the major ingredient one needs posses in carrying out this profuse mission Ben calls the power to define. :
How could we have gotten along with an anomaly of playing a game against an opponent who is also a referee in that very match? Europeans seized the power to define and provided us with “solutions” that have placed us in perpetual pupilage under them. They defined God, salvation, angels, heaven, hell and satan. God was defined as European, angels as being winged white women wearing nightgowns, heaven and earth as being mythical and satan a body-less spirit. The great effect this ruse had on Africans was programming them to readily and credulously sanction everything European as being sacrosanct. In all our efforts, to try and make common causes with the white establishments we have done nothing but invited more contempt and alienation. We have set ourselves up in motion to being infused with ideas of white superiority.
In every revolution, the primary target of the enemies of the revolution is the leader of the revolution. His life is danger for as long as the objectives of the revolution are not yet realized. When we see his life starting to change for ease and comfort, we have to conclude that the revolution has either been successful or betrayed and abandoned.
Considering the enormity by which a ruse called religion was propagated and perpetuated with the turning upside-down of African values, one is forced to conclude that there has been a serious breach of security because it is the African mind that has been broken into. The gravity of this onslaught lies in the fact that it is the mind that carries the control instruments over all substance. The revolution was miscarried for our susceptibility to the influence and control of Europeans. Africans were tenaciously coaxed in the illusory color-blind world of integration depicted by white liberals and black apologists as ideal for them. On the contrary, a world in which right is actually wrong and heaven actually hell was created.
Left with no value system of their own, Black people sought to make common causes with the white establishment. This is where they ironically started to invite for themselves more contempt. They presented themselves to their enemy on a silver platter. Africans were psychologically prepared for the inculcation, by Europeans, of a new thought, new world view, and new image that would turn an African into his own worst enemy and enemy of creation and everything that is good. Our adversary had simply taken on a new form. He had deceptively transfigured himself to an idea, thought, concept, style and belief. Chains of oppression and slavery which he had removed from our feet, he has now put in our minds.
The new form our adversary took made the liberation task more difficult for it was the one unidentifiable and unopposable. The very enemy we were up and fighting against has vanished and the African mind is his ultimate hiding place. Your enemy is now the very foreign mind you posses, the new idea you implement of which the culmination has always been us finding ourselves walking towards a direction that is relative to his dictates and objectives.
Our world view was narrowed. We were given a world view through which we could see the world only in terms of what it observable and not what it stands on, the foundation. Our value ascriptions to objects we see is informed by how those objects are imaged in the culture that a particular value system carries. Culture is not just traditions; it is taught, studied, believed and then practiced. It is clearly rooted in a belief. You affect a person’s world view if you influence their beliefs about they see, feel, smell, hear and touch everyday, most significantly what they see in themselves. Our enemies defined for us the problem and the solution. They became both referees and players in the same game we were up and playing against them.

The black society remains vulnerable and completely permeable such that all forms of negative and destructive energies, be they emotional, be they psychological, be they political, be they cultural, be they mental, for the simple reason that the security has been breached. We have been watching helplessly the disintegration of our society and have never had a fleeting thought as to who allows all these vices that destroy the moral fiber and the spiritual composition of our people.
It has only become so hypocritical, if not naïve and myopic, of this society to gauge its success in terms of political representation, massive buildings, cars, more houses and easy access to technology but very poor at heart. The Black society has become so individualistic, individuals are lovers of money and of themselves and they have learnt not to feel and relate to a fellow man.
Whatever means, as a people we may think we have to bring about meaningful changes to our lives in order to create a new social order; we must remember and keep it foremost in our minds that every substance is material advent of a pre-conceived thought. The transformation must begin with the mind.
Transformation is a trite and mostly deliberated upon concept in institutions of ‘higher’ education within the domain of what is called student politics. To these naïve Black student activists, transformation is dissected within the context of access to and exit from these institutions. The transformation agenda entails fighting against academic and financial exclusions, fee increment etc. They have gullibly taken education given to them as innocent. The content of the curriculum is never questioned. The level of critique, if any, does not penetrate the higher regions of the definer’s intellectual sphere.
The genius that has engineered all sciences constituting the University faculties is never deciphered. No wonder the type of education our youth receives makes them so aloof of their immediate surroundings, their own realities, own people and own selves. They are Africans studying in institutions that do not, through curricula and syllabi, encapsulate the African essence in respective areas of academic persuasions. With the Eurocentric curriculum, what is taught radiates and responds to the promptings and yearnings of Europe and turns a naïve and unsuspecting Black child into an agent of that response.
Clearly, norms, ideas, values, principles and beliefs are the basis of every school of thought, be it political, be it moral, be it economic, be it social, be it cultural. All these different intellectual spheres are a frame of reference in the conceptualization, formulation, establishment and implementation of sciences. Educational institutions form a bridge between conceptualization and implementation processes. It becomes vivid that a true transformation can only be brought about with the eradication of an old mind whence from new definitions and depictions will provide a new intellectual framework based on new ideas and principles for the new social order and arrangement. However, this is not an easy task, the major ingredient one needs posses in carrying out this profuse mission Ben calls the power to define. :
How could we have gotten along with an anomaly of playing a game against an opponent who is also a referee in that very match? Europeans seized the power to define and provided us with “solutions” that have placed us in perpetual pupilage under them. They defined God, salvation, angels, heaven, hell and satan. God was defined as European, angels as being winged white women wearing nightgowns, heaven and earth as being mythical and satan a body-less spirit. The great effect this ruse had on Africans was programming them to readily and credulously sanction everything European as being sacrosanct. In all our efforts, to try and make common causes with the white establishments we have done nothing but invited more contempt and alienation. We have set ourselves up in motion to being infused with ideas of white superiority.
In every revolution, the primary target of the enemies of the revolution is the leader of the revolution. His life is danger for as long as the objectives of the revolution are not yet realized. When we see his life starting to change for ease and comfort, we have to conclude that the revolution has either been successful or betrayed and abandoned.
Considering the enormity by which a ruse called religion was propagated and perpetuated with the turning upside-down of African values, one is forced to conclude that there has been a serious breach of security because it is the African mind that has been broken into. The gravity of this onslaught lies in the fact that it is the mind that carries the control instruments over all substance. The revolution was miscarried for our susceptibility to the influence and control of Europeans. Africans were tenaciously coaxed in the illusory color-blind world of integration depicted by white liberals and black apologists as ideal for them. On the contrary, a world in which right is actually wrong and heaven actually hell was created.
Left with no value system of their own, Black people sought to make common causes with the white establishment. This is where they ironically started to invite for themselves more contempt. They presented themselves to their enemy on a silver platter. Africans were psychologically prepared for the inculcation, by Europeans, of a new thought, new world view, and new image that would turn an African into his own worst enemy and enemy of creation and everything that is good. Our adversary had simply taken on a new form. He had deceptively transfigured himself to an idea, thought, concept, style and belief. Chains of oppression and slavery which he had removed from our feet, he has now put in our minds.
The new form our adversary took made the liberation task more difficult for it was the one unidentifiable and unopposable. The very enemy we were up and fighting against has vanished and the African mind is his ultimate hiding place. Your enemy is now the very foreign mind you posses, the new idea you implement of which the culmination has always been us finding ourselves walking towards a direction that is relative to his dictates and objectives.
Our world view was narrowed. We were given a world view through which we could see the world only in terms of what it observable and not what it stands on, the foundation. Our value ascriptions to objects we see is informed by how those objects are imaged in the culture that a particular value system carries. Culture is not just traditions; it is taught, studied, believed and then practiced. It is clearly rooted in a belief. You affect a person’s world view if you influence their beliefs about they see, feel, smell, hear and touch everyday, most significantly what they see in themselves. Our enemies defined for us the problem and the solution. They became both referees and players in the same game we were up and playing against them.
"XENOPHOBIA": A FLAGRANT AND MALICIOUS MISNOMER TO BLACK-ON-BLACK VIOLENCE
Black on Black violence, craftily and meticulously coded "xenophobia", a deliberate, deceiving and malicious misnomer to the current unfortunate and news making Black condition in South Africa, should from the bird's eye view be understood and dissected within the context of white supremacy system as one of the most important substances brought forth and harvested by its social engineers and scientists. Understanding the psycho-dynamics of white supremacy, understated white racism, it would seem that with the ultimate decadent manifestation of self-hate, that the so-called xenophobia is, this anti-black system would have either earned itself eternity or an assurance to longevity.
Since, history bears witness, this goliathic system's survival depends on the vastness or the extent to which Blacks and other non-whites hate, negate and annihilate themselves, it stands to reason that the spawning and nurturing of Black self-annihilation would appropriately most probably be the duty of those with vested interests- a white racist/supremacist society.
Given the above, a question may arise; how is this malady possible under the 'black government?'. It would seem that our struggle has either been hijacked by sell-outs posing as revolutionaries or naïve people who lack a deeper understanding of the dynamics of white racism/supremacy and its magnitude and effect on the victims. Since 1994, with the proclamation of freedom which has revealed itself a 'free-doom' on our people, all emancipatory programs, purportedly aimed at empowering our people, ever implemented by the social reformers, lacked the moral content evoking a sense of purpose and alignment with the impartation and instilling of knowledge and consciousness of being to our people. Our people were given a husk without the kernel. Our wound has been treated as though it were not a wound at all. Our problem is not purely economical, we are not mere economic forces as materialists would suggest, we are also moral agents as spiritually composed.
Among the so-called 'Black middle class', into which former freedom fighters have been fashioned, there is a tendency to deny the well known, at least to the mentally liberated, antecedents of Black-on-Black violence, that are rooted in white racism's devastating legacy or overlook and blurring its continuing impact on the Black population. Black self-hate manifested in what is coded 'xenophobic attacks' in Alexander, Diepsloot and elsewhere in South Africa and the rest of the Continent has, at its matrix, racism and psycho-social conditioning going hand-in-hand, and underprivileged young Black males appear to be the most bitter incubators of this venom.
Apartheid South Africa had always embraced materialism and individualism as integral components of its racism. Having internalized a shallow western way of thinking with its capitalist values, our people have become reluctant to challenge the powers that be because doing so is tantamount to challenging themselves. However, the anger subsists and is now being misdirected.
I think it's about time that true revolutionaries rise and pick up the baton to conscientize the colonized black minds and redirect the focus of our people to real issues of the struggle pointing out who the real enemy is. The foreign minds we posses make us see our own brothers from the other parts of the continent as aliens. This implies that the real enemy has found a safe hiding place in the recesses of our souls. A black man in South Africa is taking instructions from the fugitive he is hiding in his mind, an anti-Black mindset causing him to hate anything that looks like him. It is also time to chastise the black leadership that operates within an individualistic, self-serving paradigm.
